Before a Single Child Is Taught, the Cows Are Served.

Every morning, before sunrise, before sadhana, before the first lesson, Guruji is at the goshala washing and feeding the cows with his own hands. It began with two cows in 2023. There are more than thirty now.

Gau seva before shishya seva. That is the order, and it does not move.

Why It Comes First

The Trust Is Named After the Cows, Not the Children.

Read the registered name slowly: Shri Varadanjaneya Swamy Gowsamrakshana Charitable Trust. Gowsamrakshana means the protection of cows. That is the founding purpose. The Gurukula came later.

We say this plainly because the alternative — a teaching business that keeps a few cows for atmosphere — is common, and this is not that.

A day that starts with something that cannot thank you sets the tone for everything after it.

Thirty Cows, Every Single Day

They Ask For Everything, and They Ask Again Tomorrow.

Thirty animals need feeding twice, water constantly, sheds cleaned daily, and a vet when something is wrong at two in the morning. None of it can be postponed to a convenient week.

The milk is never sold. It goes to the calves first, then to the ashram kitchen, then to whoever in the village needs it. There is no goshala revenue line, because there is no goshala revenue.

Everything here costs money and returns none. That is what makes it seva rather than a farm.

The Morning Children Do Not Expect

City Children, a Bucket, and a Cow That Does Not Care Who You Are.

Every five-day immersion includes a morning at the goshala. Children who have never stood next to an animal that large feed and clean alongside the sevaks. No lesson is delivered. Nothing is explained afterwards.

It is included because a child who has done something useful with their hands before nine in the morning sits differently for the rest of the day. Parents almost always mention this morning. They almost never mention it first.

You cannot lecture humility into a ten-year-old. You can hand them a bucket.

Thirty Cows Do Not Feed Themselves.

Fodder, veterinary care, shed repair and water do not pause because a month was hard. If you want to help, these are the three honest ways to do it.

Feed a Cow for a MonthCovers fodder and water for one animal, for thirty days.
Sponsor the Vet FundEmergency treatment, vaccination and the calls that come at night.
Come and Do It YourselfSpend a morning at the sheds. Write first; the work starts before sunrise.

Say What You Actually Want. We Will Say Yes or No.

Long messages are welcome. A clear one is better than a polite one, and a specific question gets a specific answer.

Sends on WhatsApp, read by a person at the Gurukula. No automated calls, no list you did not ask to join.

Your message is on its way.

We have opened WhatsApp with your message already written out. Press send in WhatsApp and it reaches the Gurukula straight away.

Someone will read it and write back. If it takes longer than a few days, it is because Guruji is travelling.
