Forty-Five Years,
Eleven Turning Points.
A temple village. Thirteen years in corporate finance. Eighty lakhs of debt, repaid rupee by rupee. And a gurukula built from what was left. Every date on this page is a matter of record.

Born in Shivapura, Shikaripura taluk, Shivamogga district — youngest of seven in a priest family serving the Sri Varadhanjaneya Swami temple.
His father, Shri Ramachandrappa Poojar, was a jyotishi people crossed villages to consult. He never charged one rupee in his life. In that house, puja came before breakfast, always.
A Family Holds Itself Together
His father died while he was in the fifth standard. Seven children, a priest's income, and no savings.
His second brother, Shri Shri Shri Hanumanthappa Guruji — schooled to the ninth standard, no further — took the family onto his shoulders and kept it there. In that household money still sits in one bucket. Nobody's salary is their own.
Eight Kilometres, Twice a Day
Four kilometres to Balligavi, four kilometres back. On foot. Every school day for years.
Balligavi is the 12th-century land of Allama Prabhu and Akka Mahadevi — stone temples a thousand years old lining the road. He walked past that history twice a day and thought nothing of it. It would take thirty years to surface.
Bengaluru, and a Career That Worked
B.Com from National College, Shivamogga. Then thirteen years in Bengaluru: chartered accountancy and company secretaryship studies, five years in practice from 2003, then Robert Bosch — team head in legal, later finance manager at ETAS, its German subsidiary.
By every measure his family had ever known, the boy from the temple house had made it.
His Own Firm — Twenty Employees
He resigned from Bosch and opened his own accounting practice. Within two years: twenty employees and more than two lakh rupees a month.
Married to Rashmi since April 2012, a young daughter at home, a business that ran itself. He uses one word for the whole of it — mechanical.
The Year He Left a Life That Was Working
Not a failure he escaped — a success he handed away. Everything after this point turns on one decision made at the end of one year.
He Handed It Over and Went Home
At the close of 2016 he gave the firm to family and returned to Shivapura. No income lined up. No institution. No plan beyond a question he had carried since childhood.
People assumed a sabbatical. He has never gone back.
Forty Lakhs Gone. Eighty Lakhs Owed.
He turned to the land: papaya, banana, ginger. Demonetisation arrived and the buyers vanished. Forty lakh rupees of savings gone in a single year.
He planted again — organic, refusing pesticides — and lost again. The debts reached eighty lakhs, most of it hand loans from people who trusted his family's name.
He Packed for Dubai. He Never Left.
With the debt at its worst he arranged to go abroad and earn his way out, and travelled to Dubai to set it up.
His brother asked him one question: “What lesson did you learn here that you will find there?” He came home, called every lender personally, and promised full repayment with no deadline. Not one refused him.
The Practice That Held
Through the debt years the sadhana never broke. Under his brother's guidance: the Patanjali Yoga Sutras, pranayama, practice before sunrise — and teaching yoga and life management to whoever in the villages would come.
Then a travelling teacher demonstrated a blindfolded child reading. He describes it in three words: a bulb switched on. He learned the fundamentals, then spent years verifying and systematising what the teacher could only perform.
A ₹300 Workshop in Village Schools
The trust was registered — Sri Varadhanjaneya Swami Govu Samrakshana Charitable Trust, carrying the temple's name and his brother's lifelong goshala dream. The teaching took the name Vidyarambh Gurukula.
It began at three hundred rupees a child in village schools. What the children demonstrated did the rest: schools to towns, towns to cities, cities to families abroad.
Two Cows Became Thirty
The goshala grew from two cows in 2023 to thirty. Their milk has never been sold. Online batches opened and the first international families joined — the practice crossed oceans he has never crossed himself.
His daughter Mithila was the first child he ever taught. By the third day she was reading blindfolded, then cycling the village lane with the cloth still tied.
100,000 Children. 20+ Countries. Zero Debt.
More than 100,000 children across Bharath and over 20 countries have trained in The Power Of Third Eye. Every rupee of the eighty lakhs has been repaid.
And every morning, before a single class, he is still at the goshala with the cows. Gau seva before shishya seva. The order has not changed.
